The Rev. Jean Campbell grew up in the Episcopal Church and has spent her adult life working in the church. From 1974 to 2009 she was a member of the Order of St. Helena, a religious community in the Episcopal Church. As a lay woman she served as a teacher, leader of retreats, spiritual director, and as a consultant in liturgical spirituality. Mother Jean taught Liturgical Studies at St. Nicholas Seminary in Ghana, West Africa. She has been active in the national church serving for many years as both a lay deputy and a clerical deputy to the General Convention from the Diocese of NY. She has been a member of the Standing Liturgical Commission,  the International Anglican Liturgical Consultation, the North American Academy of Liturgy and  the Council of Associated Parishes. Mother Jean was ordained to the priesthood in 1990 and has worked as a member of a cluster ministry in Newburgh, NY; St. Mark’s Chelsea, NY as a part-time priest; Zion, Wappingers Falls, NY as a Youth minister; and from 2005 – 2015 she was the  Rector of Trinity Church, Fishkill, NY. She retired in July 2015 and moved to Rio Rancho in August 2015. She holds a MA in theology from the University of Notre Dame, and a DD from Seabury Theological Seminary. She has also studied at the General Theological Seminary in NYC.
