We believe Christ actually meant it when he said, “Love your neighbor just as you love yourself!”

The people of St. Chad’s work and give in order to extend services, benefits and provide assistance to our neighbors at large. St. Chad’s provides financial contributions to local charitable organizations AND goods and services through parishioners who use their time and unique abilities to volunteer directly with community agencies.

Please keep reading to learn more; we’d love for you to join our team!

Casa QSt. Chad’s provides prepared meals, groceries, toiletries, household items and special treats (Christmas gifts and Easter baskets) to the residents and graduates of Casa Q, a foster group home for LGBTQ youth in Albuquerque.

Parishioners buy student bus passes or make a monetary donation to provide these much-needed bus passes for the residents of Casa Q.

Hope Works – ProjectShareAs with Saranam, we provide more than just financial support. Parishioners regularly volunteer their time to help the homeless and working poor in Albuquerque.

Each year through the season of Lent, we collect socks for our homeless brothers and sisters who utilize the services of Hope Works.

Casa Hogar Orphanage- (in Ojinaga, Mexico) Our parish supports these beautiful children by helping to fund school uniforms, shoes, school supplies and holiday gifts each year. We are proud to reach across “borders” and show Christ’s love!

Computers and computer supplies – Our computer club repairs/wipes computers and computer equipment, then donates these items to organizations and individuals within the Albuquerque community.

Saranam St. Chad’s provides both financial and in-kind contributions to this two year housing and education program for previous homeless families who want to improve their lives. Each August, a group of St. Chad’s volunteers collect items and decorate an apartment for one such family. All furniture, decor, household items, toiletries and groceries are either purchased or donated by parishioners.

Many of our parishioners volunteer in other very special ways:

 • Non-profit thrift store volunteers

 • Nurse volunteer provides care to the homeless at Hope Works

 • Snacks, water and “car care” toiletry bags to our homeless brothers and       sisters around town

 • Nursing home and hospital visits

We’d like to know what you do!
