Veterans Fellowship at St. Chad's
The Veterans’ Fellowship is open to all parish veterans, active-duty military, family, and friends. We meet regularly to share meals, conversation, and mutual support, and organize events to support veterans and our parish community.
The Fellowship formed in the fall of 2024. Our first major event was a Veterans’ Day showing of the film Apache Blues at St. John’s Cathedral with the film’s producers on site. Since then we’ve distributed socks (provided by the St. Chad’s Outreach Committee) to homeless veterans, organized game sessions, led Memorial Day remembrance ceremonies, and organized Maker’s Markets celebrating the crafters, bakers and growers within our own parish and drawing in vendors and visitors from the surrounding community.
